This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents not to harass the petitioner and her minor child in any manner.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) submitted that the petitioner is the wife of one Johny, against whom there are 18 criminal cases and that he is in abscondence. Therefore, the police had called the petitioner for enquiry in order to find out the whereabouts of her husband.

3. In such view of the matter, this Court cannot issue blanket direction to the respondent police not to harass the petitioner. The petitioner is directed to co-operate with the police in enquiry and during enquiry, the petitioner shall not be unnecessarily harassed.
