ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed for transfer of investigation in Crime No.55 of 2026 from the file of the third respondent to the file of the first respondent.

The petitioner lodged complaint and the same has been registered in Cr.No.55 of 2026 under Section Man missing, alleging that the petitioner's son, who is aged about 18 years, was missing since the night of 16.03.2026. Further alleged that the petitioner received whatsapp message from his son stating that he had boarded the train and he was travelling in Alleppey Express with an open ticket. However, her son did not reach home. They repeatedly contacted him however, his phone was switched off. Initially the petitioner's husband lodged complaint before
the second respondent and a Zero FIR in Crime No.121 of 2026 was registered and thereafter transferred to the file of the third respondent and re-registered in Crime No.55 of 2026.

The third respondent also filed status report before this Court and it is revealed that, the last call of the missing person was activated within the territorial jurisdiction of the third respondent. Therefore, the Zero FIR registered by the second respondent was transferred to the file of the third respondent. Though the third respondent tried to trace out the call history of the missing person, they could not able to track him. 4.
Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials placed before this Court. 5.
The petitioner's son was missing while he was travelling in Alleppey Express on 16.03.2026, and the investigation so far has not been ruled out the whereabouts of the petitioner's son. Therefore, the petitioner suspected that her son had been taken by the anti-social elements for so many purposes. Further, the first respondent is the separate unit dealing with human trafficking.

In view of the above, the entire case dairy in Crime No.55 of 2026 is hereby withdrawn from the file of the third respondent and transferred to the file of the Superintendent of Police, Anti Human Trafficking Wing, Tirupattur District, for further investigation. On receipt of the entire case diary, the Superintendent of Police, Anti Human Trafficking Wing, Tirupattur District is directed to commence the investigation and complete the same as expeditiously as possible. 7.
With the above directions, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to cost.
