ORDER
It is informed on behalf of the respondents that the nomenclature of the second respondent should be amended from Commissioner to Director. Suo motu the statement is taken note. Registry is directed to carry out the necessary amendment insofar as the second respondent is concerned before issuing the order copy.
2. The Writ Petition has been filed in the nature of a Mandamus seeking a direction against the first respondent /Secretary to Government, Planning Development and Special Initiatives Department, Chennai to pass orders on the proposal forwarded by the second respondent in Na.Ka.No.16325/C1/2024 dated 23.08.2024.
3. The petitioners are working as statistical inspectors in various Departments under the first respondent. It is contended that they had given a representation seeking revision of their seniority. It is contended by the learned counsel for the petitioners that the second respondent had forwarded the proposal to the first respondent on 23.08.2024 in Na.Ka.No.16325/C1/2024.
4. It would not be proper on part of this Court to examine the facts of the case, since the first respondent will have to apply his mind and pass appropriate orders.
5. A direction is given to the first respondent, if the records are available,
to pass appropriate orders within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. The Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
