Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as learned Central Government Standing counsel appearing for the respondent.

2. The petitioner made a representation to the respondent seeking to correct his name as well as date of birth in his Passport.

3. The learned Central Government Standing counsel appearing for the respondent has submitted that in such a case, the petitioner have to apply afresh and if the petitioner applies for the passport afresh, his application would be considered.

Considering the submissions made by the learned Central Government Standing counsel appearing for the respondent, this Writ Petition is disposed of giving liberty to the petitioner to apply for passport afresh, in accordance with law. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
