ORDER
By consent of learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The present writ petition is filed praying for a writ of mandamus to direct the respondents 4 and 5 to take action on petitioner's representations dated 19.11.2024 and 01.04.2025 with regard to survey of house site situated at Sri Devi Karumariamman Nagar, comprised in Survey 62/1A1A, measuring a total extent of 1744 sq. ft., in Thiruverkadu Village, Poonamallee Taluk, Tiruvallur District, through registered Sale deed dated 17.12.2021 in Document No.23588/2021, at SRO, Kundrathur, by making proper sub-division.

It is submitted by the learned counsel for petitioner that petitioner had purchased the house site land situated in Sri Devi Karumariamman Nagar, comprised in Survey 62/1A1A, measuring a total extent of 1744 sq. ft., in Thiruverkadu Village, Poonamallee Taluk, Tiruvallur District, vide registered 2/6
sale deed dated 17.12.2021 in Document No.23588 of 2021. 3.1. It is the case of the petitioner that he had taken out an online application for surveying the above property bearing Survey No.62/1A1A on 01.04.2025. Importantly, in the said receipt, under the column - type of patta modification, it is mentioned as "not involving sub-division". Though, the prayer is for sub-division of patta, on this being pointed out, learned counsel for petitioner would submit that she would confine her prayer only for carrying out survey in respect of Survey No.62/1A1A.

At the outset, it is submitted by Mr.P.Sathish, learned Additional Government Pleader for respondents that they would consider the representation submitted by the petitioner and conduct survey of petitioner's property within the time frame to be fixed by this Court, which was agreed to by the learned counsel for petitioner.
5. In view thereof, the writ petition stands disposed of with the direction to the appropriate respondent to carry out a survey and complete the process within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after giving prior notice to the petitioner, adjacent land owners and other interested parties 3/6
including rival claimants, if any. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any views with regard to the merits of the case and it is open to the concerned respondent to consider the matter on its own merits and in accordance with law. No costs.
