... Respondents PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus, calling for the entire records relating to the petitioner's brother's detention under Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982 vide

detention order dated 20.03.2025 on the file of the second respondent herein and made in proceedings C.No.34/G/IS/2025 and quash the same as illegal and consequently direct the respondents herein to produce the petitioner's brother namely C.V.Rajan, S/o.Velayutham, aged about 57 years, before this Court and set aside the petitioner's son at liberty from detention, where the petitioner's son detained in Central Prison, Coimbatore.

ORDER

When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner, as well as the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents, by producing a copy of the Government Order in G.O.Rt.No.2679, Home, Prohibition and Excise (XII) Department, dated 13.05.2025, submitted that the detention order has already been revoked.

2. Recording the said submission, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands dismissed as infructuous. No costs.
