This Criminal Original Petition is filed seeking direction to the respondent to provide police protection to the petitioner 1/5

There was a wordy quarrel arose between the petitioner with the Hotel Owner Ramdoss with regard to the delay in providing the breakfast items which he ordered. On seeing the petitioner taking samosa from the basket, he immediately started to abuse the petitioner by using filthy languages. He further stated that the petitioner belongs to Scheduled Caste Community and he should not touch the foods from this hotel. Subsequently, the group of persons who belong to the community of the Hotel Owner, started to abuse the petitioner by using his caste name and assaulted him with bamboo sticks and other iron rods which caused severe injuries to the petitioner. In respect of the same, the petitioner has lodged a complaint. After receiving the complaint, the respondent had given C.S.R.No.110 of 2024 and thereafter, no action was taken against the said hotel owner and the persons concerned who involved in the said incident. Hence, the present petition.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the said Hotel Owner 2/5
and his community people abused and attacked the petitioner and caused severe injuries. Hence, he seeks police protection to the petitioner.
4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondent Police submitted that based on the complaint given by the petitioner, C.S.R.No.110 of 2024 was registered and the enquiry is pending.
5. I have considered the submission of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondent police.
6. Therefore, the respondent police is hereby directed to conduct the enquiry within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
