(The case has been heard through video conference) The Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 12.07.2021 and to issue patta to his land measuring about 2 cents situated at K.Kalathur Village, Veppanthattai Taluk, Perambalur District.

2. The grievance of the petitioner is that, he is an Exserviceman and he said to have in possession and enjoyment of land to an extent of 2 cents situated at K.Kalathur Village, Veppanthattai Taluk, Perambalur District. He is also paying all the taxes to the Government. Hence, he has submitted a representation to the respondents on 12.07.2021 seeking for assignment. But, so far, his representation was not considered and no order has been passed on it. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed by the petitioner.

3. Considering the limited prayer sought in the Writ Petition, without going into the merits of the case, the 1st respondent District Collector is directed to consider the petitioner's representation and to pass suitable orders on merits in accordance with law after hearing the petitioner within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
