Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to consider the representation dated 24.8.2015 submitted by the petitioners and to pass appropriate orders thereon in terms of GO Ms No.404, Education, Science and Technology (SP) Department dated 25.5.1995 as also on merits, within a time limit that may be specified by this Honourable Court.

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal. 2.The grievance expressed by the petitioners is that they have been repeatedly posted to hill/ remote area without following the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
mandatory guidelines given in G.O.Ms.No.404, Education, Science and Technology (SP) Department dated 25.05.1995 and in this regard they have submitted a joint representation dated 24.08.2015 to the first respondent and since no orders have been passed, came forward to file this writ petition.
3.Heard the submissions of Mr.S.Vijayan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and Mr.N.Srinivasan, learned Additional Government Pleader who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. 4.This Court taking into consideration the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner and without going into the merits of the same, directs the respondents 1 and 2 to consider and dispose of the petitioners' joint representation dated 24.08.2015 on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioners. 5.The writ petition is disposed of accordingly.
