O R D E R

The present criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to register the case in pursuance of the petitioner's complaint dated 26.11.2015.

2. In the petition, it has been stated that the petitioner runs a travels under the name and style of "Best Cars" at No.9/7, Ramasay Street, Vijayalakshmipuram, Ambattur, Chennai. On 31.08.2015, one R.Latha of Velacheri approached the petitioner for hiring a car for 3 days for her relatives marriage. On the same day she paid an advance of Rs.5,000/- and hired a Hundai I-20 Car registeration no.TN 57AJ by her own driver. The said R.Latha cheated the petitioner by not returning his car. Hence the petitioner searched for her and thereafter, he came to know that she is habitual cheater and hence he lodged a complaint with the respondent police on 26.11.2015. Since no action was taken, the present criminal original petition has been filed.

3. I have heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

4. Considering the submissions made on either side, since C.S.R.No.854/2015 has already been assigned on the petitioner's complaint dated 26.11.2015, this Court directs the respondent police to conduct an enquiry on the complaint of petitioner dated 26.11.2015 and proceed in accordance with law, as early as possible.

5. This criminal original petition is disposed of accordingly.
