CRL. O.P. No.17573 of 2016 S.VAIDYANATHAN, J.

Apprehending arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 376 and 506(i) IPC in Crime No.347 of 2016 on the file of the respondent police, the petitioner has come forward with this petition seeking anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that when the defacto complainant's daughter was taking food to her father, the petitioner had forceful physical relationship with her and as a result of the she got pregnant. The further allegation is that the petitioner threatened her not to disclose the said incident to anybody else.

3. Learned Government Advocate (Crl.

Side) submitted that the petitioner has committed very serious offence and if the petitioner is released on anticipatory bail, he will tamper the witnesses and hence, opposed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has not committed any such offence and a false case has been foisted against him.

5. Considering the serious allegations against the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant the relief sought for by the petitioner and this petition is dismissed.
