ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by Sunder Mohan J.) The mother of the convict, viz., Mubarak S/o.Abusali aged about 30 years, has filed this writ petition challenging the impugned order dated 17.09.2025, by which the petitioner's request for ordinary leave for the convict has been rejected in terms of Rule 22(3) of Tamil Nadu Suspension of Sentence Rules, 1982, since the convict has not completed one year from the date on which he had returned from the earlier leave i.e., on 24.06.2025.

2. We do not find any infirmity in the impugned order.

3. The impugned order was passed on 17.09.2025 and as on date, one year has elapsed from the convict's return to jail after his earlier leave. Therefore, the respondents are directed to consider the petitioner's request in the light of the above changed circumstances and pass

appropriate orders in accordance with law, within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
