This application has been filed by the petitioner for extension of the mandate of the arbitrator to complete the arbitration proceedings.

2. Whereas the learned counsel for the respondent submitted that despite several opportunities given by the arbitrator, the applicant has not filed the amended petition within the time and filed the same after four and half months, that too with defects and hence, the same was returned and thereafter, the witness was not produced for cross examination.

3. Having regard to the above submissions, the mandate of the arbitrator is extended for a further period of 6 months and failure to produce the witnesses by the applicant and complete the proceedings within 6 months, the mandate will not be extended any further and the same shall be terminated automatically. 26.08.2021 vrc https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis/
