ORDER

Heard Mr.V.Kumaresan, learned counsel for the petitioners and Mr.M.L.Mahendran, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents and with their consent, the writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage itself.

2.The petitioners seek for issuance of a writ of mandamus to direct the respondents to survey the land in question and to issue the Town Survey Patta in their names by considering their representation dated 01.08.2011.

3.Mr.M.L.Mahendran, learned Government Advocate would submit that reasonable time may be given to the 2nd respondent to consider and pass orders on the petitioners' representation. 4.In the light of the above, without going into the merits of the petitioners' contentions, there will be a direction to the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioners' representation dated 01.08.2011 seeking for survey of the land situated in Survey No.426/5, New No.51, Old No.58, Thirumullaivoyal village, Saidapet Taluk, Chengalpatu District and to issue the Town Survey Patta, after issuing notice to the petitioners as well as to those persons whose interest is likely to be affected and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
