ORDER

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

The petitioner claims to be one of the Committee Members of the Temple Festival Organizing Committee of the Temple, viz., Arulmigu Sri Sakthi Mariamman Temple, situate at S.Valapadi, Anna Nagar Village, Valapadi Taluk, Salem District. He submitted a representation/application dated 08.06.2016 to the 2nd respondent, seeking permission to conduct a cultural program on 21.06.2016, in connection with the temple festival, which includes song and dance programme and https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

since, he has not been favoured with any kind of response, came forward to file this writ petition.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, on instructions, would submit that in the event of permission being granted to conduct the song and dance programme, there will not be any law, order or communal problem and no vulgarity or obscenity will be there and hence, prays for appropriate orders.

This Court heard the submissions of Mr.V.S.Ramesh, learned Government Advocate, who accepts notice for the respondent.

Though the petitioner has prayed for a larger relief, this Court, taking into consideration the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner and without going into the merits of the application/representation, directs the 2nd respondent to consider the application/representation dated 08.06.2016, in accordance with law and pass orders on or before 18.06.2016 and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner forthwith. The writ petition is disposed of, accordingly. No costs.
