By consent of the learned counsel on either side, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

2.Heard Mr.N.S.Nandakumar, learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner, Mr.S.Gunaseakran, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent.

3.The petitioner seeks for issuance of a writ of mandamus to direct the respondent to consider the application for renewal dated 22.07.2014, submitted by the petitioner and renew the drug licences in Form 20B and 21 B without reference to the show cause notice. 4.Though several averments have been made by the petitioner and equally a lengthy counter affidavit has been filed by the respondent running to 28 paragraphs, the short issue which falls for https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

consideration in this Writ Petition is as to whether the petitioner's Application for renewal of the drug licences have been considered or not.

5.In paragraph No.27 of the counter affidavit, the respondent has accepted that the Application submitted by the petitioner for renewal of drug licences is under consideration and the Licensing Authority has not passed orders till date.

6.In the light of the above, there will be a direction to the respondent to consider the petitioner's Application dated 22.07.2014, and pass orders on merit and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
