By consent of learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. In view of the order that this Court proposes to pass and also the limited relief that is sought to be granted, notice to the Respondents 4 to 7 is dispensed with.

2. The present writ petition is filed for issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to consider the appeal dated 21.11.2024 made by the petitioner against the order of the 2nd respondent in TAHPNI/522/2023-B1 dated 05.07.2024 within the specific period of time fixed by this Court.

3. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner filed an application before the 2nd respondent seeking issuance of patta in his name in respect of property in S.No.207/2A measuring 56 cents at Guduvancherry Village, Ponneri Taluk, Tiruvallur District after deleting the names of other persons, however, the petitioner's application

was rejected by the 2nd respondent vide his order dated 05.07.2024. Aggrieved by the above order, the petitioner had filed the appeal before the 2nd respondent and the same is yet to be disposed of.

4. At the outset, it was submitted by the learned Spl. Govt. Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 that the above appeal dated 21.11.2024 would be disposed of within a time frame fixed by this Court, which was agreed to by the learned counsel for petitioner.

5. In view of the same, taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief sought for in this Writ Petition, there shall be a direction to the 1st respondent to consider the appeal dated 05.06.2025 on its own merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, after affording reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, respondents Nos. 3 to 7 and any other interested persons/rival claimants, and also putting the respondent Nos. 3 to 7 and any other interested persons on notice, within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that this

Court has not expressed any views with regard to the merits of the appeal and it is open to the concerned respondent to consider the appeal on its own merits and in accordance with law.

6. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
