The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offenses punishable under Section 420 IPC in Crime No. not known, seeks anticipatory bail. 2.

The case of the prosecution is that the de facto complainant is the mother-in-law of the petitioner's brother. The de facto complainant's daughter was searching for a job. Eventually, one Ravichandran, know person to the petitioner was also searching a job for his son. While so, the said Ravichandran assured that one Ramesh would arrange for a job in the Government department for both his son and the de facto complainant's daughter as well on payment of Rs.10 lakh. Thereafter, the said Ravichandran died in the year 2021 and subsequently, the de facto complainant demanded the petitioner to return back her money. Hence, the complaint.

The facts as per the record seems to indicate that the de facto complainant is the mother-in-law of the petitioner's brother and that the de facto complainant had given money to one Ravichandran, since deceased, for getting employment for her daughter in the Government department. According to the petitioner, earlier also a complaint was filed which was also closed after the said Ravichandran died.

On the other hand, the learned Public Prosecutor submits that the petitioner has given a letter stating that he would arrange for refund of the money that was paid to one Ravichandran, since deceased. He further submitted that enquiry is still in progress. 5.

Having considered the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Crl.OP is closed with a direction to the respondent to complete the enquiry as expeditiously as possible within a period of four

weeks from today, pending such enquiry, the petitioner shall not be arrested. However, the petitioner shall co operate with the respondent police for further investigation.

Accordingly, this Crl.OP is closed.
