ORDER

This writ petition has been filed with a prayer to direct the respondent to pay the difference amount of pension as per the 14th wage settlement along with 18% interest.

The petitioner was working as a Senior Trades Man in the respondent Transport Corporation and got retired on 24.08.2022. The petitioner made a representation to the respondent to pay the difference amount of terminal benefits as per the 14th wage settlement along with 18% interest. Since the same was not considered, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition.

Learned Counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is entitled for the wage difference in accordance with the 14th wage settlement along with interest. In this regard, the petitioner has also given representation dated 09.12.2024.

At this juncture, Mr.C.Gowthamraj, learned Standing Counsel for the respondent Corporation would submit that they would settle the eligible amount to the petitioner.

In view of the above submission, without going into the merits of the matter, this Court deem it appropriate to direct the respondent to consider the abovesaid representation of the petitioner and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. 6.

In the result, the above Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
