ORDER

(1) Mr.Yogesh Kannadasan, learned Government Advocate accepts notice on behalf of respondents 1 and 2.

(2) The writ petition had been filed in the nature of a mandamus seeking a direction to the 1st respondent, namely, the District Collector of Coimbatore District to search his office with respect to the documents relating to RR.No.17/72 dated 19.06.1974 and if somehow or the other, he is able to locate the documents, to give a certified copy of the same to the writ petitioner herein. (3) The writ petitioner herein claims that he had sent a representation in this regard dated 10.08.2020 and the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

grievance expressed by Mr.K.Myilsamy, learned counsel for the petitioner appearing on behalf of the petitioner is that the 1st respondent has not taken any action, or had not indicated that he had taken any action on the said representation, necessitating the writ petitioner to file the present writ petition.

(4) The entire issue relates to a land measuring an extent of 3.22 acres in S.No.50/2 at Muthanamapalayam Village, Tiruppur Disttrict, which the petitioner claims that he had purchased from S.Jayabalan by a registered Sale Deed dated 01.07.2016.

(5) Let me not go deeply into the facts of the case, but rather place an obligation on the 1st respondent to consider the said representation dated 10.08.2020 and if documents are available, issue certified copies following due procedure and in accordance with the Rules, to the writ petitioner herein. I hope that the said process would be completed within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

(6) The writ petition stands disposed of accordingly. No costs.
