This petition has been filed to direct the respondent police to afford sufficient police protection to conduct the survey by the surveyor in Survey Nos.89/1A, 89/5 to an extent of 1.52 acres at Chettithangal Village, Kattumanarkoil Taluk, Cuddalore District.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

3. It is stated in the petition that the petitioner purchased the agriculture land in Survey Nos.89/1A, 89/5 to an extent of 1.52 acres from one M.Ramalingam by way of registered sale deed dated 03.11.2014 in Document No.2701 of 2014. When the petitioner attempted to erect fence in his land measuring 1.52 acres, the owners of the adjacent property of the petitioner are giving trouble to the petitioner. for police protection to survey the property in order to enable the petitioner to erect the fence. Hence, the petitioner has come forward with the present petition.

4. When the matter is taken up for consideration, learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that if the Surveyor applied for police protection, the same will be considered.

5. In view of the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the petitioner is directed to make necessary application before the Surveyor for surveying the land and on the date of survey, the respondent police is directed to afford sufficient protection for conduct of the survey of the petitioner land, so that there is no obstruction by anyone.

6. With the above direction, this criminal original petition is closed.
