PRAYER : Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issue of writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 12.03.2015 and consequently direct the first respondent to issue plumber license to the petitioner.

O R D E R

The petitioner contends that he is a licensed plumber engaged by the Municipality for executing water supply scheme by providing water supply connection to the premises of the general public under the first respondent Municipality. He is executing the works for the first respondent and during the year 2010, his licence was not renewed and the petitioner sought plumber license from the first respondent and gave representation to the first respondent. In the meantime, on 30.08.2013, the first respondent Municipality passed a resolution giving approval for grant of licence to the petitioner. Thereafter, the petitioner filed a representation on 12.03.2015 to issue plumber licence to him. Since n o action has been taken by the respondent, the petitioner is before this court. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2. Heard Mr.G.Muthukumar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, Mr.Rm.Muthukumar, learned counsel appearing for the first respondent and Mr.K.Karthikeyan, learned counsel appearing for the second respondent.

3. Considering the fact that the resolution has already been passed by the first respondent on 30.08.2013 giving approval for grant of plumber licence to the petitioner, it is appropriate to direct the first respondent to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 12.03.2015 for grant of plumber licence, within a period of fouir weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
