Prayer :- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a writ of mandamus directing the 3rd respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 08.05.2021 and pass orders for issuance of patta in favour of the petitioner for the property measuring 0.61 acre in survey No.143/1, at Pandravedu Vilage, Pallipet Taluk, Tiruvallur District.

ORDER

(1) Mr.Yogesh Kannadasan, learned Government Advocate accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 to 3.

(2) The petitioner claims to have purchased a property on 16.06.1986 by a registered Sale Deed registered on 16.06.1986 as Doc.No.422/1986 and the property is measuring 0.61 acres in S.No.143/1 in Pandravedu Village, Pallipet Taluk, Tiruvallur District. The petitioner claims that however patta had not been granted to him. He had also explained the reason in the affidavit as to the delay in https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

seeking patta by stating that he was working in the North India and was not able to seek mutation in the revenue records at an earlier time. The petitioner had given a representation on 08.05.2021.

(3) A direction is given to the 3rd respondent, viz., the Tahsildar, Pallipet Taluk, Tiruvallur District, to examine the said representation of the petitioner, issue notice to the petitioner, afford an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and thereafter pass an order on the representation dated 08.05.2021 preferably within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

(4) The writ petition stands disposed of accordingly. No costs.
