..Respondent(s) Prayer: This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to forthwith survey, measure, and subdivide the Petitioner's property situated at S.F.No.721/1 (subdivided as S.F.No.721/1A), measuring to an extent of 3000 sq.ft in Karamadai Village, Mettupalayam Taluk, and consequently issue an individual Patta in the name of the Petitioner based on her online application date 26.11.2025 and representation dated 05.01.2026. ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondent to consider the petitioner's online application dated 26.11.2025.

Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has made an online application dated 26.11.2025 to survey, measure, subdivide and issue separate patta on his favour in respect of the property comprised in S.F.No.721/1 (subdivided as S.F.No.721/1A), measuring to an extent of 3000 sq.ft in Karamadai Village, Mettupalayam Taluk. However, the same was not considered, as on date. Hence, this writ petition.
3. Mr.M.Senthamizh Selvan, learned Government's Counsel accepts notice on behalf of the respondents and submitted that the petitioner's application dated 26.11.2025 will be considered within a period of twelve weeks.
4. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.
5. Considering the limited relief sought by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case,
directs the second respondent to consider the petitioner's online application dated 26.11.2025 and carry out a survey and complete the process, after giving prior notice to the petitioner and other aggrieved parties, if any, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. It is made clear that this order is passed only for the purpose of issuing a direction to the official respondent to conduct a survey and lay boundary stones at the subject land. In the event any dispute arises regarding the possession of the subject property, the same has to be decided by way of filing a suit before the competent Civil Court.
7. With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
