ORDER

Heard Dr.P.Vasudevan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.R.Lakshmi Narayanan, learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondent.

2. The petitioner is a Residents Association called Sundaram Colony Association. Their grievance is, in their layout several individual dwelling units are being converted into multistoried constructions by violating the building norms. It is further stated that as a result of these mushroom growth of constructions, the residents are facing various difficulties such as non-supply of drinking water etc. In this regard, a representation has been sent by the petitioner on 07.11.2015. On perusal of the representation, it is seen that there is no details given as to who has violated the building norms and it appears to be a general complaint. Therefore, based on such representation, which is bereft of particulars, writ of mandamus cannot be issued. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Therefore, while declining the relief sought for by the petitioner, liberty is granted to the petitioner to approach the competent authorities by way of proper representation giving full details of the violators.

3. The writ petition is dismissed in terms aforesaid. No costs.
