JUDGMENT
(Judgment of this Court was delivered by T.RAJA,J.) This writ appeal has been filed to set aside the order dated 12.05.2016 passed by the learned Single Judge in W.P. No.17755 of 2016.
2.It is seen from records that Arulmigu Sri Batchariamman Spirutual Trust represented by its President K.Dilliraja has given a representation dated 25.04.2016 seeking permission to celebrate the temple festival by permitting their caste people in the temple festival of Desathu Mariyamman Temple, Aasanampattu Village, Ambur Taluk, Vellore District to be held on 22.05.2016, 23.05.2016 and 24.05.2016. During the pendency of the representation, proceedings under Section 107 of Cr.P.C. were issued by the Revenue Divisional Officer, Tirupathur. Questioning the same, the appellant and another person have come to this Court with Writ Petition Nos.17755 and 17777 of 2016.
The learned Single Judge, dismissing the above writ petitions, has held that there was no necessity for the authorities to grant permission to conduct the festival and that Peace Meeting could be convened by the Revenue Divisional Officer, whenever there was a representation by any of the parties. As against which, the present Writ Appeal has been filed. 3.Learned counsel appearing for the appellant submitted that the prayer in the writ appeal has become infructuous since the prayer was to grant permission to hold temple festival for the year 2016.
4.In view of the submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the appellant, this writ appeal stands dismissed, without disturbing the observation made by the learned Single Judge of this Court. Consequently, connected C.M.Ps stand closed. No costs.
