Respondents Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd & 3rd respondents to survey and mark boundaries of the petitioners' properties situated in S.F.No.11/7E3, having an extent of 0.2.40 Ares in Neivasal Revenue Village, Tittakudi Taluk, Cuddalore District based on the patta as well as 1/5

sale deeds within a time frame fixed by this Court with the help of 4th respondent jurisdictional police.

ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed to direct the respondent Nos.2 and 3 to survey and demarcate the property based on his application, dated 20.03.2026, with the assistance of the fourth respondent, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2. The petitioner had submitted an application on 20.03.2026 for the aforesaid purpose. Since the same was not considered, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.

3. Mr.S.Arumugam, learned Government Advocate, accepts notice on behalf of the respondent Nos.1 to 3 and Mr.V.Meganathan, learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side), accepts notice on behalf of the 2/5

fourth respondent.

4. No prejudice will be caused to the respondents, if the respondent Nos.2 and 3 are directed to survey and demarcate the boundaries of the petitioner's property more fully disclosed in the prayer to this Writ Petition, after hearing the objections, if any, from the neighbouring land owners as well as any other party whom they deem fit to put on notice within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of in the following manner:- (a) Before surveying the lands in question, the respondent Nos.2 and 3 are directed to issue notice to the neighbouring land owners, and also to any other party, if they deem fit to put on notice. (b) After receiving objections if any and after considering the same, the respondent Nos.2 and 3 shall conduct survey and demarcate the boundaries of the property more fully disclosed in the prayer to this Writ petition, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve

(12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. (c) If the need arises for police assistance and on a request made by the first respondent, the fourth respondent shall render police assistance for the effective implementation of this order. 3/5

(d) There shall be no order as to costs.
