The petitioner, alleging that he has been falsely implicated by the respondent for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 147, 148, 294(b), 323, 324, 506(ii) IPC r/w Section 3(1)(x) of SC/ST (POA) Act 1989, seeks a direction to the learned Principal District and Sessions Judge (Special Court of SC/ST Act), Thanjavur, Thanjavur District, to accept the surrender of the petitioner herein concerned in Crime No.394 of 2015 on the file of Inspector of Police, Vaitheeshwaran Koil Police Station, Nagapattinam District and consider the bail petition on the same day.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

3. Considering the nature of the prayer sought for and taking note of the fact that the petitioner is prepared to surrender before the learned Principal District and Sessions Judge (Special Court of SC/ST Act), Thanjavur, Thanjavur District, there shall be a direction to the learned Principal District and Sessions Judge (Special Court of SC/ST Act), Thanjavur, Thanjavur District, to consider the bail application to be submitted by the petitioner on the same day on his surrender before that Court, on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders.

4. The criminal original petition is ordered accordingly.
