The present criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent police to register a case based on the petitioner's complaint dated 19.11.2015 pending on the file of the respondent police.

2. The petitioner submitted that she had preferred a complaint before the respondent police on 19.11.2015 against one Parameshwari, Lakshmi, Rajendran, Govindan and Panjalai for the offences under sections 447,427,294(b),323,506(ii) of I.P.C. But, till date, the respondent police have not registered any case based on her complaint. Hence, the present criminal original petition has been filed.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the enquiry is pending with the respondent police.

4. Considering the submissions made on either side, this Court is of the opinion that it is appropriate to direct the respondent police to conduct an enquiry on the complaint dated 19.11.2015 given by the petitioner and upon enquiry, if materials https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

are gathered indicating commission of any cognizable offence, he is directed to proceed further in accordance with law, as early as possible.
