The present criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent police to register a case against one Urmila Kumari and Amala Kumari based on the petitioner's complaint dated 13.10.2015.

2. The case of the petitioner is that he was taking care of his sister who is mentally affected and also her son Lakshmi Narayanan, who was three years old at that time, when they were deserted by her sister's husband. Later, his sister had passed away in the year 2008. The said Lakshmi Narayanan who was brought up by the petitioner got married to one Urmila Kumari. After few years passed, misunderstanding arose between the couple and got estranged. Hence, the said Urmila Kumari lodged a false complaint against her husband Lakshmi Narayanan, the petitioner and petitioner's wife Girija Bai before the Ayanavaram All Women Police Station. The petitioner and his wife approached the learned Principal Sessions Court, Chennai and obtained anticipatory bail. said Urmila Kumari along with her sister Amala Kumari had stolen the petitioner's two wheeler namely Honda Activa bearing registration number TN-19,R-3713. Hence, the petitioner had lodged a complaint before the respondent police. Though C.S.R.No.1661 of 2015 has been assigned on his complaint, till date no action has been taken. Hence, the present criminal original petition has been filed.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the enquiry is pending with the respondent police. On receipt of the complaint of the petitioner in C.S.R.No.1661 of 2015 has been assigned and the matter is pending for enquiry.

4. Considering the submissions made on either side, this Court directs the respondent police to conduct an enquiry on the complaint dated 13.10.2015 given by the petitioner in C.S.R.No.1661 of 2015 and dispose of the same in accordance with law, as early as possible.

5. This criminal original petition is disposed of accordingly.
