The present criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to register the case on the basis of the petitioner's complaint dated 05.12.2015 which is on the file of the respondent police.

2. The petitioner is the owner of the Tirumal Finance company and he is also running a chit company. The petitioner had stated that he had offered totally Rs.17,00,000/- on various occasions to one K.R.Amarnath, who is running a Super Market and Medical Shop in the same locality. When the petitioner requested the said Amarnath to return his money, he refused to repay the money and also threaten the petitioner with dire consequences. The petitioner had lodged a complaint and C.S.R.No.461 of 2015 is pending before the respondent police. But, till date, no action was taken on the said complaint. Hence, the present criminal original petition has been filed.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the enquiry is pending with the respondent police. On receipt of the complaint of the petitioner in C.S.R.No.461 of 2015 has been assigned and the matter is pending for enquiry. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4. Considering the submissions made on either side, this Court directs the respondent police to conduct an enquiry on the complaint dated 05.12.2015 given by the petitioner, if enquiry was not conducted so far by the respondent police in C.S.R.No.461 of 2015, the respondent police is directed to proceed further in accordance with law, as early as possible.
