Mr.Mohammed Fayaz Ali, learned Standing Counsel accepts notice for the respondent and is armed with instructions to enable a final disposal of this Writ Petition, even at the stage of admission.
2. The petitioner seeks a mandamus directing the respondent Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited to issue a Letter of Intent (LOI) for award of Retail Outlet Dealership at Parmeswarmangalam to Kodanjeri on State Highway 50B LH8 District, Ranipet, State of Tamil Nadu under OBC category.
3. Mr.Fayaz, on instructions, states that there is an enquiry on-going in regard to the land offered by the petitioner for the dealership and a letter has been issued on 29.05.2024 calling for certain particulars from the petitioner.
4. In such circumstances and since enquiry is stated to be on-going, no mandamus can be issued as prayed for by the petitioner. It would instead suffice to direct the respondent to continue with the enquiry already initiated and conclude the same after hearing the petitioner and considering all relevant 2/4
documents and pass orders within a period of four (4) weeks from date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. This Writ Petition is disposed as above.
