ORDER

By consent of learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. The present writ petition is filed praying for a writ of mandamus to direct the respondents to consider petitioner's representation dated 28.02.2025 to conduct enquiry and issue patta in respect of his land comprised in Survey No.155/5.

3. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner the representations dated 28.02.2025 and 05.03.2025 submitted to the respondents to conduct enquiry and issue patta in respect of his land comprised in Survey No.155/5, have not been considered till date. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition.

4. At the outset, Mr.A.Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader for respondents would submit that petitioner's representation would be considered and appropriate orders would be passed within the time stipulated by this Court, after verifying the nature/ classification of the land and after affording the petitioner a reasonable opportunity of hearing. Agreed to by the 2/4

learned counsel for petitioner.

5. In view thereof, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the appropriate respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 28.02.2025 and pass order after affording the petitioner a reasonable opportunity of hearing, taking into account the revenue records. The above exercise shall be completed within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any views with regard to the merits of the representation and it is open to the concerned respondent to consider the representation on its own merits and in accordance with law. No costs.
