O R D E R

[Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] On 28.07.2021, we passed the following order : "It is the case of the petitioner that her daughter Sandhiya, aged about 16 years, daughter of Sathish, went missing from 09.06.2021 and that the police are not taking effective steps to secure her.

2.On instructions, the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) submitted that on a complaint given by the petitioner, a case in Villupuram All Women Police Station Crime No.18 of 2021 was registered on 21.06.2021 for 'girl missing' and investigation is in progress.

3.In such view of the matter, we direct the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Villupuram Sub-Division, to monitor the investigation in All Women Police Station Crime No.18 of 2021 and keep the petitioner informed of the developments, if any. As and when the detenue Sandhiya, aged about 16 years, is secured, she shall be produced before the Judicial Magistrate Court No.I, Villupuram, under intimation to the petitioner. On such production, the learned Magistrate shall pass appropriate orders with regard to the custody in accordance with law.

Post the matter on 25.08.2021."

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the alleged detenue viz., Sandhiya was secured on 01.10.2021 and restored to the petitioner (mother).

Recording the submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner as well the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this petition is closed.
