ORDER

The case of the petitioner is that he served in the Indian Army (Corps of Signals) sometime in 1999. After his retirement from the Indian Army, he got appointment in the second respondent-Polytechnic on 08.06.2015, as Skilled Assistant. During his service under the second respondent, the first respondent issued a proceeding dated 13.10.2017, calling for the post of Workshop Instructor in all Government Polytechnic Colleges. According to the petitioner, he possessed the requisite qualification and applied for the same, but to his shock, his name was not found in the panel list prepared by the first respondent vide proceedings dated 14.08.2020. His rejection was on the ground that he had not produced the Equivalency Certificate. The petitioner is stated to have applied for the Equivalency Certificate on 08.03.2017 itself before the Director of Technical Education and the same is pending. Challenging the proceedings of the first respondent dated 14.08.2020, the petitioner is before this Court.

2. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel submitted that the Government has issued the Equivalency Certificate to the petitioner and subsequently the petitioner has been 2/4

promoted to the post of Workshop Instructor in the second respondentPolytechnic College.

3. In view of the submission made by the learned counsel for petitioner, nothing survives for adjudication in this writ petition and accordingly, the writ petition stands dismissed as infructuous.
