Writ petitions are filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Certiorari, calling for the records relating to the Orders passed by the respondent in Ka.Ku.No.367/467/D1/TNGTC/KM/2013 dated 02.12.2014, Ka.Ku.No.82/182/D1/TNGTC/KM/2013 dated 03.06.2015, Ka.Ku.No.1128/1228/D1/TNGTC/KM/2011 dated 27.01.2012 in W.P.Nos.27866, 27867, 27869 respectively and the order passed by the 1st respondent in Ka.Ku.No.86/560/D4/TNGTC/V/1996 dated 25.03.2013 in W.P.No.27870/2017 and quash the same.

C O M M O N O R D E R Challenging the impugned Orders passed by the respondent in Ka.Ku.No.367/467/D1/TNGTC/KM/2013 dated 02.12.2014, Ka.Ku.No.82/182/D1/TNGTC/KM/2013 dated 03.06.2015, Ka.Ku.No.1128/1228/D1/TNGTC/KM/2011 dated 27.01.2012 in W.P.Nos.27866, 27867, 27869 respectively and the impugned order passed by the 1st respondent in Ka.Ku.No.86/560/D4/TNGTC/V/1996 dated 25.03.2013 in W.P.No.27870/2017, the present Writ Petitions have been filed.

On the face of the impugned orders, it appears that the petitioner has approached this Court challenging the same, after a lapse of two to four years. When this Court asked as to the cause for the delay in filing these Writ Petitions, the learned Counsel for the petitioner is unable to give any sufficient reason to condone the long delay. Further, the impugned orders also disclose that in two of the cases, the petitioner was imposed with a minor punishment of stoppage of increment for one year with cumulative effect whereas in the remaining two cases, he was imposed with a minor punishment of stoppage of increment for one year without cumulative effect and the period of suspension is also ordered to be adjusted with his earned
leave. Under such circumstances, the Writ Petition is liable to be dismissed only on the ground of laches.

In the result, the Writ Petitions fail and the same are accordingly dismissed. No costs.
