O R D E R

The petitioner has filed this petition against the order of Execution Court on the ground that the Tamil Nadu Buildings (Lease and Rent Control) Act, 1960 has been repealed and in its place Tamil Nadu

Regulation of Rights and Responsibilities of Land Lords and Tenants Act, 2017 has been (Act 42 of 2017) enacted and therefore, delivery of possession ordered by the Execution Court is illegal.

2. On a perusal of the materials, it is seen that the eviction petition has been filed in the year 2015 and decreed in the year 2017. Without even filing an appeal, the petitioners/tenants have been prolonging the matter. The grounds raised in the Civil Revision Petition are not sustainable. This Court does not find any infirmity in the order passed by the Execution Court. The Civil Revision Petition has no merits for consideration and hence, stands dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
