8 of the Consumer Protection (Salary, Allowances and Conditions of Services of President and Members of the State and District Commission) Rules, 2020 on the basis of the representation dated 19.03.2025 and to extend all consequential benefits thereto from the date on which the same fell due within a time frame.

This writ petition has been filed for issue of writ of mandamus directing the respondents to extend the admissible allowances such as HRA, TA etc. as per Rule 3(1) r/w. Rule 7 & 8 of the Consumer Protection (Salary, Allowances and Conditions of Services of President and Members of the State and District Commission) Rules, 2020 based on the representation made by the petitioner on 19.03.2025.

2. Heard Mr.L.Chandrakumar, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and Mr.E.Vijay Anand, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 and Mr.K.S.Jeyaganesh, learned Senior Central Government Standing Counsel appearing for the 4th respondent.
3. The issue involved in the present writ petition is squarely covered by the order passed by the Apex Court in a batch of cases in Writ Petition (Civil) Nos. 1144 of 2021 etc., dated 19.05.2025 and the Apex Court has directed all the State Governments and Union Territories to amend the rules framed by them in exercise of powers under Section 102 of the 2019 Act and confirm to the directions issued by the Apex Court. The Apex Court has also listed the case on 22.09.2025 for reporting compliance by all the State Governments and the Union Territories.
4. In the light of the above order passed by the Hon'ble Supreme Court, the petitioner will also be entitled for the admissible allowances on the basis of the amended rules as was directed by the Apex Court. 3/6
5. Hence, this writ petition is disposed of in terms of the order passed by the Apex Court. No costs.
