Common Prayer: Criminal Original Petitions filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure to direct the 1st respondent to investigate into the complaints in FIR No.88 of 2015 and to file a final report, now pending on the file of EOW-II, Chennai and subsequently, direct them to furnish the assets belonging to the 2nd respondent within a time frame. For Petitioners :Mr.M.Aravind Subramaniam [in both Crl.OPs] For Respondents :Mr.C.Emalias, [for R1 & R3] [in both Crl.OPs] Additional Public Prosecutor COMMON ORDER These Criminal Original Petitions have been filed seeking a direction to the 1st respondent to investigate into the complaints in the FIR

No.88 of 2015 and to file a final report, now pending on the file of EOW-II, Chennai and subsequently, direct them to furnish the assets belonging to the 2nd respondent.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents 1 and 3.

3. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the total amount of cheating involved in this case is Rupees Twenty Crores, and every day victims are coming and lodging complaints.

4. In view of the above, there cannot be a positive direction to complete the investigation within the time period. However, the respondent Police is directed to conduct investigation expeditiously and take action in accordance with law.

With the above direction, these Criminal Original Petitions are closed.
