This application is filed seeking an extension of the time limit for conclusion of pending arbitral proceedings.

2. The applicants state that this Court by order dated 10.04.2015 directed the sole arbitrator to conclude the arbitral proceedings preferably within six months from the date of receipt of the order. The applicants further state that on account of a connected arbitral proceedings, A.F.No.18 of 2016, being contested before the same arbitral tribunal, this proceedings could not be concluded. The applicants also state that pleadings have been completed in the proceedings.

3. The respondents are represented through counsel, and have no objection to the grant of an extension as requested for by the applicants.

4. Upon considering the above submission and on examining the affidavit in support of this application, the applicants have made out a case for the grant of extension of time.

5. Accordingly, Application No.4655 of 2021 is allowed by extending the time for conclusion of arbitral proceedings by pronouncing an award in respect thereof by a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
