O R D E R

This petition has been filed to quash the C.C.No.26/23 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, II Additional Mahila Court, Tiruppur,

2. Today, both the parties appeared before this Court and the second respondent was identified by the learned counsel for the petitioner. The second respondent submitted that the issue between them has been settled and she has no objection in quashing the proceedings in C.C.No.26/23. A joint memo of compromise dated 10.05.2023 signed by both the parties and the learned counsel for the petitioner has been filed before this Court, which reads as follows:

"1. The petitioner/accused and the 2nd respondent herein/defacto complainant have arrived at a compromise.

2. The 2nd respondent had complained against Akpar Ali @ Selli Amman, the petitioner herein for alleged offences under Section 294 (b), 506(i) of IPC r/w Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act 2022 before the Inspector of Police, Tiruppur South Police

Station and the same had been registered as Crime No.340/2021.

3. The alleged incident took place on 27/3/21 at Tiruppur as stated in the FIR when the 2nd respondent attended election campaign.

4. The petitioner and the 2nd respondent have amicably settled the issue and the 2nd respondent has no objection in quashing the proceedings in C.C.No.26/23 before the Judicial Magistrate, Additional Mahila Court, Tiruppur against Akpar Ali @ Selli Aman. We are filing this joint memo of compromise consenting to quash the proceedings in C.C.No.226/2023."

3. Recording the above submission and the joint memo of compromise, dated 10.05.2023, the proceedings in C.C.No.26/23 is hereby quashed. Accordingly, this petition is allowed. No costs.
