This writ petition has been filed for issue of a writ of mandamus directing the first respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner dated 07.02.2006 against the order passed under Section 47A(1) of the Indian Stamp Act dated 13.10.2003 by the second respondent.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents.
3. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and considering the materials placed before this Court, there shall be a direction to the first respondent to act upon the appeal filed by the petitioner on 07.02.2006 and pass orders on its own merits and in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

The Writ Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
