Common Prayer:- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to pass orders granting regular time scale of pay to the petitioners on completion of one year service on consolidated pay, in the light of orders passed in favour of similarly placed persons, by considering the representation submitted by the petitioners dated 15.07.2017 with all consequential and other attendant benefits, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

By consent of the learned counsel on either side, these writ petitions are taken up for final disposal and is disposed of by this order.

Mr.S.Arumugam, learned Government Advocate takes notice on behalf of the respondents.

The petitioners have filed the present writ petitions seeking for issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents to pass orders granting regular time scale pay to the petitioners on completion of one year service on consolidated pay, in the light of orders passed in favour of similarly placed persons, by considering the representation submitted by the petitioners dated 15.07.2017 with all consequential and other attendant benefits, within a time frame.

This Court heard the submissions of the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials placed before it. 5.
Though the prayer in these writ petitions are for a larger relief, the learned counsel for the petitioners has confined his arguments to the limited extent of directing the respondents to consider and dispose of the representation of the petitioners dated 15.07.2017, expeditiously.

This Court considering the limited prayer now sought for by the learned counsel for the petitioners, without going into the merits of the case, the respondents are directed to consider and dispose of the representation of the
petitioners dated 15.07.2017, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioners herein.

With the above directions, these writ petitions stands disposed of. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions are also closed. No costs.
