For Petitioners : Mr.S.Doraisamy in both Crl OPs For Respondent : Mr.C.Emalias, Additional Public Prosecutor in both Crl OPs COMMON ORDER Since the issue involved in both the criminal original petitions is connected to each other, a common order is passed. These petitions have been filed to direct the respondent to investigate the case in Cr.No. 17 and 18 of 2013 respectively dated 22.01.2013 and file the final report.
2. The case of the petitioners is that the petitioners in Crl.O.P.No.29677/2015 are accused in Crime No.17 of 2013. The petitioner in Crl.O.P.No.29774 of 2015 is the complainant in Crime No.18 of 2013. Crime No.17 of 2013 dated 22.1.2013 has been registered against the petitioners for the alleged offence under sections 294(b), 147, 148, 341, 324, 336, 153, 153A, 307 IPC r/w Section 3 of PPDL Act. Crime No.18 of 2013 dated 22.1.2013 has been registered for the offence under sections 147, 148, 324, 506(ii), 153 and 153A IPC. Till date, there is no progress in the investigation. Hence, the petitioners have come forward with these petitions.
3. When the matter is taken up for consideration, learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the investigation is completed in both the cases and the matter is pending before the District Collector, Perambalur, for sanction.
4. In view of the submissions made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Court directs the respondent police to expedite the process and file the final report in both the cases viz., Crime Nos.17 and 18 of 2013 as early as possible, preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. The criminal original petitions are disposed of accordingly.
