ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 29.04.2019 requesting to transfer him to the vacant place of the Noon Meals Centre at Government Higher Secondary School at Mettapalli, Uthagarai, Krishnagiri District with all consequential benefits.

2. According to the petitioner, he was appointed as Noon Meal Organiser on 21.11.1989 at Government High School, Mettapalli, Uthangarai Taluk, Krishnagiri District.

Subsequently, he was transferred and presently, he is working at Panchayat Union Elementary School at Singarapattai,

Krishnagiri District. Further, it is stated that he is going to retire from service during next year and he is also taking medical treatment, due to which, he is unable to travel. Hence, he has submitted representation, dated 29.04.2019 to the second respondent to transfer him to the vacant place of the Noon Meals Centre at Government Higher Secondary School at Mettapalli, Uthagarai, Krishnagiri District, which has not been considered. Hence, this writ petition.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has obeyed the order of transfer and completed four years of service in the transferred place. Hence, he prays before this Court that an appropriate relief may kindly be granted to the petitioner.

4. Ms.V.S.Suresh, learned counsel taking notice on behalf of the respondents submitted that the representation of the petitioner would be considered on merits and in accordance with law, within a time stipulated by this Court.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also the limited prayer made in the writ petition, without going into the merits of the matter, the first respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 29.04.2019, and pass orders independently on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. In the result, the writ petition stands disposed of in the above terms. No costs.
