ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences punishable under Section 174(3) of Cr.P.C. @ 306 of IPC in Cr.No.185 of 2019, on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that on 11.03.2019, the deceased S.Keerthana committed suicide by hanging. The de facto complainant/uncle of the deceased lodged the complaint as he was taking care of the deceased and her brother S.Jagadish since their parents had passed away. 08.03.2017, the marriage was solemnized between the deceased and the petitioner before the elders and the family members. Further, as the petitioner has drinking habit, there was a dispute between the deceased and the petitioner. On 11.03.2019, at about 6.30 p.m., the de facto complainant's mother spoke with the deceased over phone. Thereafter, the deceased committed suicide. Hence, the complaint.

3. Though the crime is of the year 2019, it was registered under Section 174(3) of Cr.P.C. Therefore, the RDO conducted detailed enquiry and it was found that the deceased died due to dowry harassment by the petitioner and his mother.

4. Therefore, the petitioner have committed a very serious offence as against the deceased and as such custodial interrogation of the petitioner is very much required in this case. Hence, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to this petitioner and this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. -sd/- 22/06/2022 This order, on being produced, be punctually observed and carried into execution by all concerned TRUE COPY Sub-Assistant Registrar (Statistics/C.S.)
