O R D E R
The present criminal original petition has been filed to direct the respondent to register the petitioner's complaint dated 19.11.2015 and to investigate the same in accordance with law.
2. The petitioner's daughter minor V.Lenenu, aged about 15 years is studying 10th standard in the Lady Wellington Ladies Higher Secondary School. One Ganthimati, who is the class teacher of the petitioner's daughter, abused the petitioner's daughter in filthy language and also scolded her by mentioning her caste name before the students. On 08.10.2015 also his daughter was abused by the said Gandhimati and thereafter, his daughter attempted to commit suicide by taking pesticide, but the same was prevented by the petitioner. Hence, the petitioner lodged a complaint before the first respondent on 19.11.2015 and
the same was forwarded to the second respondent. But, till date, no action was taken on the said complaint. Hence, the present criminal original petition has been filed.
3. I have heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.
4. When the matter is taken up for consideration, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the complaint given by the petitioner was transferred to All Women Police Station, Mylapore, at the request of the petitioner and the matter is pending for enquiry.
5. In view of the submissions made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Court directs the Inspector of Police, All Women Police Station, Mylapore to expedite enquiry on the complaint of the petitioner and upon enquiry, if materials are gathered indicating commission of any cognizable offence, the second respondent is directed to proceed further in accordance with law, as early as possible. If no prima facie case is made out for registering the case, the Inspector of Police, All Women Police Station, Mylapore, is directed to pass an appropriate order on the said complaint.
6. This criminal original petition is disposed of accordingly.
