The Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondent to grant permission to conduct cultural programme in Arulmigu Sri Thambikalaiyan Kannimar Karuppusamy Thirukkoil, Adhiyur Vallaimpathi, Uthukuzhi Taluk, Tiruppur District scheduled to he held on 22.05.2023 and 23.05.2023 by considering the petitioner's representation dated 04.04.2023.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that in order to conduct the cultural programme on 22.05.2023 and 23.05.2023 in Arulmigu Sri Thambikalaiyan Kannimar Karuppusamy Thirukkoil, Adhiyur Vallaimpathi, Uthukuzhi Taluk, Tiruppur District, the petitioner has sent a representation dated 04.04.2023 to the respondent. But, the same has not been considered so far. Hence, the present writ petition.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents submitted that the respondent police has received the representation of the petitioner and the same is pending for consideration.

appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police.

It is brought to the notice of this Court that the Director General of Police, Tamil Nadu, Chennai, had issued a Circular Memorandum in Rc.007301/Genl.I(1)/2019, dated 09.04.2019, along with instructions to the Inspectors of Police throughout Tamil Nadu for consideration of applications seeking permission for conducting cultural programme. Therefore, in view of the detailed circular and guidelines issued by the Director General of Police, the respondent police is hereby directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 04.04.2023 and pass suitable orders based on the above said circular.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is allowed. No costs. The uploaded copy can be utilized for the purpose of execution of the Order.
