By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up and disposed of at the admission stage itself.

This Writ Petition has been filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondent to dispose of the petitioner's representation, dated 19.07.2010, on merits and in accordance with law, in the light of the Circular issued by the respondent vide No.18/Pu.Su.Poo.Va.Ka./Admn./2004/353, dated 21.04.2004, within a time frame.

3. The petitioner entered into service as Junior Assistant Booking Clerk in the respondent Corporation, on 02.05.1992. The grievance of the petitioner is that he was overlooked in promotion and his juniors were promoted. He has given a https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

representation to the respondent, on 19.07.2010, seeking to revise his seniority and to promote him from the year 01.01.2003, but, till date, inspite of his reminders, there was no response and hence, he has filed the present Writ Petition.

Mr.T.P.Prabakaran, the learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner would be satisfied, if his representation, dated 19.07.2010, is directed to be considered by the respondent and appropriate orders are passed, in the light of the Circular issued by the respondent vide No.18/Pu.Su.Poo.Va.Ka./Admn./2004/353, dated 21.04.2004,.

5. Mr.A.Tamilvanan, the learned Government Advocate (Puducherry), who takes notice on behalf of the respondent, has got no serious objection in directing the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law.

Considering the above submissions, this Court, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, directs the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 19.07.2010, and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, in the light of the Circular issued by the respondent vide No.18/Pu.Su.Poo.Va.Ka./Admn./ 2004/353, dated 21.04.2004, as expeditiously as possible. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion with regard to the merits of the claim made by the petitioner.
