ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking direction to the learned Metropolitan Magistrate, Fast Track Court No.II, Allikulam, Egmore, Chennai to complete the trial of C.C.No.7232 of 2019 as a summary case under Section 143 of the Negotiable Instrument Act, 1881, (as amended) within a stipulated time.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and perused the materials available on record.
3. On perusal of the docket order, it appears that the accused was not appearing before the Trial Court even after the issuance of non bailable warrant and the case has been protracted from 11.05.2020 without any valid reasons. Such view of the matter, there shall be a direction to the learned Metropolitan Magistrate, Fast Track Court No.II, Allikulam, Egmore, Chennai to dispose of the main case in C.C.No.7232 of 2019 on merits within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.
4. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
